APWH students should be reading chapter 1 in their Stearn's book and the chapter 1(Wisdom of the Ancients) in Van Doren. They will be writing an in-class essay on Monday which has them comparing the ancient river valley civilizations of Mesopotamia, Indus Valley and Egypt.
