APWH

Students should begin reading chapter 4 in Stearns (AP Edition). Students using the combined edition should begin reading chapter 5.

Students should be completing the 'guide' for chapter 4 (Stearns) by recognizing major themes, dates (periodization), vocabulary/concepts in terms of political, economic and cultural/social, identifying patterns in the short answer responses, and looking for compare/contrast, change over time and continuities.

Students will be working in groups to complete a ‘Reader’s Theater’ project about the Roman Empire (Chapter 3 in History of Knowledge). A few groups have already identified their topics – Friday the remaining groups will choose topics. The project requires the groups to produce a written script, and a performance. Topics must be accurate in historical content but creativity in presentation is encouraged! Each group should figure on no more than four minutes to present. All presentations will be on Monday (Oct. 21st).
