Monday:

We will be in the computer lab (219). We will be looking at the AP Central website, also the getAfive and Learnerator sites.

Students will also be working with Annenberg Learner "Bridging History” Unit 3 at http://www.learner.org/courses/worldhistory/unit_main_3.html

Wednesday:

We are working in pods with terms from chapter 1 ... associating the terms/concepts with the themes.

In addition we will begin thesis development with the statement ...  "the original affluent society" … it is a concept introduced by the scholar Marshall Sahlins in 1972 to describe Paleolithic societies, which he registered as affluent … not because they had so much - but because they wanted or needed so little.

We will watch and discuss a video segment about The Epic of Gilgamesh.

Finally, students will work, independently and silent, on a handout about "Understanding Our Past”.
